Kuala Lumpur 2017 Torch Run is organised by the Malaysian Organising Committee (MASOC) Kuala Lumpur 2017. The event is open to all participants aged 12 and above; participants take part in the event at his/her own will.
Kuala Lumpur 2017 Torch Run is a non-competitive event.

The MASOC is not responsible for any possible costs incurred by participants with regards to their application to participate in the event.
Participants below the age of 18 are required to obtain the consent of their parents/guardians prior to signing up for the event.
Participants must be certified fit to take part in the Run (once selected). The organiser is not liable for any accident, incident or mishap which arises as a result of non-disclosure of medical condition by participants.
Participants agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information. The organiser may contact participants from time to time via email. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the organiser shall be deemed as received by the participants. In the event where participants are found to provide information that is untrue, inaccurate, or incomplete, or if the organiser has grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, the organiser has the right to suspend or reject their entries.
The organiser reserves the right to amend dates, venue or cancel the event at any time without prior notice to participants. The organiser will make efforts to inform participants beforehand on any changes or cancellation of dates and event. Any updates on the event including any changes to the Rules and Regulations will be posted on the event's official website www.kualalumpur2017.com.my. Participants are responsible to keep themselves informed on such updates and changes. The organiser is not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by the changes.
The organiser reserves the right to amend the race routes ('Routes') as they deem fit for the safety of the Participants and/or to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the event at any time without prior notice to the Participants. In such cases, every effort will be made to inform the Participants prior to the date of the event. Any changes made to the even routes will be posted in the event route (Rules & Regulations) Official Website. It is the responsibility of the participants to keep abreast with such changes. The organiser shall not be liable for any other loss or inconveniences caused due to such changes.
Participants must follow the specified event route, abide by orders and instructions by security officers/officials, traffic management officers/officials, event officers/officials and any enforcement officers/officials. Participants must take precaution at all times to avoid/be involved in any activities which are deemed as threats to their safety.
The organiser reserves the right to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the event, for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising and promotion to the organiser.
The organiser reserves the right to amend the Rules & Regulations at any time, at its sole discretion, without any prior notice.
Participants must ensure that they have read and understood the Personal Data Protection Notice on the collection, retention, use, disclosure and management of the participant's personal data. By reading and agreeing to it, participants agree to authorise and allow organiser and/or any of its subsidiary companies to collect, retain, use and disclose the participant's personal data for the purposes mentioned in the Personal Data Protection Notice.
Participants registering on behalf of someone else must declare that they have obtained consent from the named individual(s) on the registration, for the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal data to organizers, partners and other third party service providers.
