Wushu

Wushu is a sport derived from Chinese Martial Arts. Even the name “Wushu” comes from the Chinese vocabulary, meaning art of martial. Competitive wushu is composed of two disciplines, which are Taolu (forms)and Sanda. Taolu involves martial art patterns and manoeuvres for which competitors are judged and given points for specific rules. The events of Taolu are basically divided into two categories, which are Barehanded and Armed. Barehanded consisting of Changquan, Nanquan, Taijiquan and as for armed, it consists of Nandao, Jianshu, Taijijian, Gunshu, Nangun, Qiangshu and Daoshu. Only the Taolu events are being competed in the 2017 SEA Games.
